I’m anticipating an adventure filled, people meeting, best time ever of my life journey! I couldn’t be happier to have you travel along with me.

For the past 25 years I’ve been busy making and caring for my family, growing in my professional career and trying to finding my place in this big world. As you can see I’m not quite there… yet.

Being a mom, a wife and a nurse have been, and continue to be, very fulfilling. However there’s another side of me, the creative (artist) side that has been released with a vengeance when I started to “dabble” in scrapbooking seven years ago. If I listen closely I can hear your giggles and see you nod in agreement as I’m sure you know exactly what I mean within your own passion for paper crafting.

My love for scrapbooking quickly extended into a love for card making, stamping, using cool and innovative tools, creating, designing, teaching and organizing anything and everything to do with paper crafting. Having had a taste of working in the actual industry has left me wanting more, hence the launch of Shabby Shutters.

The name of the store was chosen because of my vintage style. I love watching how the perceived “old” is turned into something new.

One of most favourite items in our home is our headboard in the master bedroom. My husband and I made it several years ago with early 1900 wooden window shutters that we found at a yard sale. The purchased price….$4. The leftover pieces of those shutters will be found hanging in the store’s window.

Regardless of the name, Shabby Shutters will have many products available to suit any style there may be. So without further adieu, it gives me great pleasure to say…….
