Hi everyone. Here’s a look at the next layout class at Shabby Shutters. We will be using a collection from We R Memory Keepers called ‘Antique Chic’. It’s a very vintagey line. I pulled out most of the yellow and green papers which went beautifully with my sunflower photos. We will also make a cute sunflower from sticky back canvas and add a super cute trinket birdie from Maya Road. It is a double page layout. Hey everyone!

Sorry for getting a little side tracked last month and forgetting to put out the Sketch Challenge. You can slap my fingers next time you’re in the store! LOL!

Here is Mays Sketch. I am not going to post Michelles scrapbook sample and my card sample until later in the month. We want to see a few of your samples first!

Cards with Darly-Water Coloring

I am so excited to be doing this class…its going to be a fun one! Water color stamping is so intimidating and yet once you start and understand the basis behind it you will be completely addicted! Sure hope you will join me on May 8th @ 6pm or May 16th @ 10am for a class of water coloring with lots of practicing and then we’ll create a card to show you how to incorporate your little masterpieces into your card making!

Please bring basic tool kit…adhesive runner, pop up dots, brown ink if you wish to distress the edges of your card and a small paintbrush for water coloring. Don’t worry if you do not have one as I will have extras and last but not least and probably more important than anything else is an open mind and a carefree attitude! Its only ink and paper…don’t stress over it!

Black and white photos are absolutely stunning when paired with this paper line. We will also be using a Cheery Lynn die and lots of liquid pearls. Spring Frame

Hey everyone. Finally got the spring frame finished. In this class we will be using the Graphic 45 ‘Secret Garden’ Collection. We will be using grunge paper, metallic distress stain, liquid pearls, bling and we will be sanding, inking, sewing, crumpling and cutting lots of little pieces. The picture will be supplied. This class is scheduled for Sunday, April 28th from 10-3:00. The cost is $25. There will be a second class scheduled for a Saturday in May. Date to be determined.
