Meet the team!
Here at Shabby Shutters we have a team of paper-crafters who are both experienced and passionate about the hobby. Not only does the Design Team work on new projects for the store, but they also teach classes in house and in communities. Assisting in assembling wedding invitations and with the Project Program are some of the other work we do. We also know how to have fun doing what we love to do!
There are 3 constants to our team:

Darlene is originally from Poulamon on the picturesque North shore of le Madame in Cape Breton. She has been actively in photography and paper crafts for some ten years or more. Her creative desires, combined with that “Cape Bretonese” demeanor allowed her to be a driving force while employed as the inaugural manager at Photo Memories in Bayers Lake, Halifax. She also did some extensive design and instructing work for The Cutting Garden Papercraft Studio in Halifax. She is currently creating and consigning various of her original paper crafts to the Halifax International Airport’s, Island Beach Company outlet and also distributes some of her creations to reputable small businesses in HRM.Having recently moved back “home” after being away for 20 years and needing to find a “scrapbook” fix she discovered Shabby Shutters….and the rest they say, is history.
